Write and Edit Earrings

from 16.00

It would be nice if you could just write something and it would be brilliant without any further work. However, most writers know that is not the case most days! Instead, you write and then edit and then write and edit more.

I created these hand stamped earrings by stamping the words "write" and "edit" U.S.-made metal circles. I brushed the tin-based metal alloy circles to give them a subtle texture.

Ear wires: Sterling silver
Sterling silver ear wires are more expensive than silver-plated ear wires, but they tend to be a better choice for those with metal sensitivities. The sterling silver and metal alloy circles both come with sterling silver ear wires. The copper circles come with niobium (hypoallergenic) ear wires.

Length: 1 3/4" (4.45 cm)
Earring length is always measured from the top of the ear wire (the part that will be in your ear) to the end of the earring.

Technique: Hand stamped
Hand stamped items uses hand tools (a hammer and steel stamps) to add the letters and numbers one at a time. No lasers or machines! Because of the hand tools, you may notice light hammer marks or a brushed (not smooth) texture on the metal, particularly on the back.

If you would prefer a smooth surface on the back, ask me about creating a wood (not metal) laser engraved piece for you as a custom order.
